"not sure if nerve damage"

well, I am still dealing with the left side of my face. Some days are better than others. Last week, I had a bottom molar that needed to be extracted. It was really rough since the tooth broke, they needed to cut into my jaw to remove the rest. While they were trying to numb to area I noticed the top teeth were getting nummer than the bottom tooth he was suppose to be numbing. I left the office and my tongue was numb, also my lips, but what confuses me is the upper teeth were numb too. I have gotten the feeling back in my tongue, my lips still feels strange, but my upper teeth are still numb. Has anyone ever heard of nerve damage like this?
