"UPPER LIP NUMB/PAIN/BURNING"

I went to the dentist on april 23, 2009, I had all four quads scale root, had the two fang teeth root canals and then the top front 6 prepped/ and had temp crowns put on. The next day I had extreme pain and the right side of my face swelled up like someone hit me. I still cant feel my upper lip, my right nostril and part of my check, can anyone tell me what happened. I do know he used the septicaine to numb tooth #6 cause he had a hard time keeping it numb.. I still hurt and have the numbness, someone please help me. I have went back and am scared to let him touch me to put on the permanent ones.

Sounds like a sodium hyperchlorite injury.(Irrigant out of the apex) Should resolve perhaps look into some antibiotics.

That would be my best guess without being there.

You sure had alot of dental work done....did you really need all that done?

Find out what material was used in the root canal and if there was an overfill. Some of these materials can be cytotoxic and cause numbness and pain if extruded out the tip of the tooth....
