Do you have any idea who and for what purpose someone would have a dental paste compounded/manufactured that contains 64% paraformaldehyde and, even worse, 90+%? What the crap would that be used for...? Again, I don't get it. And I don't get how these people break the law and get away with it. Who is minding the hen house?

The actual formulations are below. Any clue why someone would use this?

Root Canal packing Paste: 15gm
Paraformaldehyde 46%
Lidocaine HCl 37%
Creosol Acetate 4.5%
Eugenol Flavor

The root canal paste is made up of
Paraformaldehyde 95-97%,
Lidocaine HCl,
Cresol(M) Liquid and
flavor Eugenol USP.

I read this recently, on the aes website, attributed to Patrick Wahl:
N2 is 4.5% formaldehyde; embalming

fluid is 40%. Formocresol, the pulpotomy agent and intracanal medicament advocated in my

endodontic training at the University of Pennsylvania, is 19% formaldehyde.

Now, if modern compounds are paraformaldehyde 46-97%...that FAR surpasses embalming fluid!!! What the hell? This is bizarre!!
