"Burning Tongue and Impaired Speech"

Can anyone help me, i feel as though no one has answers and the ones who do have answers seem to shrug me off as though this is an everyday occurance. 2 Weeks ago i had my wisdom teeth taken out and i couldn't feel my tongue or gums, and there for ended up slirish speech. The other day i started to get this burning tongue that is driving me crazy. Does your speech get better? And is everyone's speech affected? Thanks.

So when you say that Slurred speech is common with lingual nerve injury, is that with the nerve being bruised or is that more of an indication that the nerve was possible severed? Also my tongue does not feel as though it is producing saliva is that possible? How do i find out if a nerve has been cut or bruised? And is surgeroy an option? And how do i find out how sever this injury is? Thanks so much for taking the time out to answer some of my questions.
