Many years I have been coming to this site, complaining of my BMS.
To some, I've made you depressed and others given you some hope. I owe all of you for listening to me,some advice on how you can get through the day and go on with your life.
To the Classis BMS sufferer, this how I get through my day. Although it may sound crazy to others you must accept this life for now.
1.Look forward to sleep.8-9 hours, to a BMS sufferer, this is what we can call some peace for now.
2. Enjoy The first 45 minutes in the morninig, make it your priority
to enjoy it. It helps. No matter how bad the prior evening was, this is something to look forward to. Tell yourself there will be some peace in the morning.
3. Enjoy your social events, work, etc..keep busy, it can get your mind off of it and you may not even notice it for awhile.
4. Look forward to meals, most BMS sufferers have no sensation of pain or disturbance when eating. But when the meal is over, you may feel worse for sometime. sip cool water after a meal or chew gum seems to help.
5. I Hate to admit it, but alcohol does help, as part of socializing.
Puts it on the back burner.
6. Some meds like Klonipin does help some, but may make you sleepy
all of the time. Great aid for sleeping.
If my wife and family were to read this post, they really would think I lost it, but we all know, what it's all about and we will find some relief no matter how crazy it seems to others!..keep the chin up!!
Talk soon,
John
